Students are guided through a design unit exploring colour, mark making, pattern development, texture and form.

These ideas are developed into a range of embroidery samples covering techniques such as line and textural stitching, reverse appliqué, free machining and raised and padded work. The course culminates in two projects. One is stitched purely by hand and the other using innovative techniques.
